Meat Loaf

Meat Loaf

USA

Meat Loaf (born Marvin Lee Aday, 1947–2022) and songwriter Jim Steinman created Bat Out of Hell in 1977 — a theatrical rock opera so absurdly ambitious that no record label initially wanted to release it. Once it came out, it sold over 50 million copies worldwide, becoming one of the best-selling albums of all time. He also played Eddie in The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Robert Paulson in Fight Club.
