Okean Elzy
Okean Elzy formed in Lviv in 1994 by four students at Lviv University, led by frontman Svyatoslav Vakarchuk — who somehow also earned a PhD in theoretical physics along the way. Their 1998 debut album Tam, de nas nema produced the first Ukrainian music video ever to air on MTV. Twelve studio albums later, they remain Ukraine's most beloved rock band, with concerts regularly drawing tens of thousands of fans.
