Prince
Prince was a one-man musical operation — he produced, arranged, composed, and played every instrument on his demo tapes, which earned him a Warner Bros. contract at just 19. His 1984 album and film Purple Rain made him as famous as Michael Jackson and Madonna, and the soundtrack won him an Oscar for Best Original Song Score. In protest against his label, he famously changed his name to an unpronounceable symbol in 1993.
