Supertramp
Supertramp's masterpiece almost didn't happen — after five albums and a decade of work, they had exactly one US hit to show for it. Then 1979's Breakfast in America arrived and held #1 in America for six weeks, selling around 20 million copies worldwide. The album was driven by the unusual creative tension between two singer-songwriters, Roger Hodgson (whose "Logical Song" was inspired by his ten years at boarding school) and Rick Davies.
