Patsy Cline
Patsy Cline (1932–1963) became the first female solo artist inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and helped define the polished "Nashville sound." Her signature hit "Crazy" was written by a then-unknown songwriter named Willie Nelson, who pitched it to her through her husband. She died at just 30 in a small plane crash near Camden, Tennessee, returning to Nashville from a benefit show in Kansas City.
