Status Quo
Status Quo formed in London in 1962 as The Spectres, two schoolboys named Francis Rossi and Alan Lancaster who couldn't have predicted what came next. Six decades of denim, three-chord boogie rock, and over 60 UK chart hits later — more than any other rock band in British history — they remain a national institution. They had the honour of opening Live Aid at Wembley Stadium in July 1985 with their cover of "Rockin' All Over the World."
