Erasure

Erasure

GBR

Erasure was Vince Clarke's third successful synth-pop band in five years — after founding Depeche Mode in 1980 and Yazoo in 1981, he placed a Melody Maker ad in early 1985 looking for a singer. Andy Bell was the 42nd respondent, one of the first openly gay frontmen in pop music. The duo has sold over 25 million records and is best known for the 1988 synth-pop anthem "A Little Respect."
