Foo Fighters

Foo Fighters

USA

Foo Fighters began as Dave Grohl's solo project after Kurt Cobain's death in April 1994 ended Nirvana. Grief-stricken and unsure what to do next, Grohl quietly recorded the entire 1995 debut album by himself in one week — playing every instrument and singing every vocal — using songs he'd written secretly while still drumming for Nirvana. He only assembled a real band after the album took off.
