INXS
INXS formed in Sydney in 1977 as The Farriss Brothers — three Farriss siblings plus three friends including charismatic frontman Michael Hutchence. Their 1987 album Kick made them global superstars, spawning four US Top 10 singles including "Need You Tonight," their only American #1. INXS sold over 75 million records worldwide before Hutchence's death in 1997 at age 37 cut the band's career tragically short.
